How to go NC w/ ex gf around friends for the summer? Suggestions?

Me (22) and my ex gf (21) had our 2nd breakup in 4 yrs. Shes broken it off both times (2nd time was almost mutual). we've been broken up for 2 months now. Im still getting over her and as Ive been told she is still not over me. Altough shes had a bf since a week after we broke up. Im guessing its a rebound bc she CANT be single.

 

In any case, we have the same group of summer friends, guys and girls (some of whom date each other). So when everyone gets together, you guess it. I see her. I have not been able to go more then 2 weeks without running into her. and every time I do see/talk with her it kicks my ass for a week. How will we ever get over each other or on the other case, miss each other if we always see each other?

 

The good news is bc of her internship next yr we will be attending our senior yr from across the state. do i suck it up and just deal with it for another month and a half and continue the talking/flirting w/ her? or do I just tell my group of friends I cant hang around everyone when shes there? (idk if that would make me sound weak) or are there other suggestions? Plus I know she'll come during the school yr every now and then.

Well, I guess Ill just keep bumping into her every weekend. Her flirting w/ me and bringing back my feelings knowing shes dating someone else so it can kick my ass.

All I can say is that if it brings you down eveytime you see her then you need to get away. Tell your friends that seeing her every other week isn't helping you get over her. They will understand. Do other things for the next couple of months until she goes away. It isn't easy believe me. We have all been there. My first true love was in college and it was a small school. She broke up with me and I would run into her at parties and on campus. It sucked and hurt. The best thing was I started dating other girls and she would see me with them. Her friends would tell me that it killed her to see me with other people. So you have that to look forward to. Find another girl to hang with.
