Have no idea Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I saw a thread about dating but not in a relationship... Do you think these ever seem to work out or something inevitably goes wrong...
spiderowl Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) It depends on the people concerned. If they are both equally happy with not being in a relationship, then it's fine. If one or the other becomes more attached, then it could get difficult. People date for many reasons but I guess the most common are: - to find the right person for a relationship - for sex - for companionship or companionship with sex In general it works best if both are dating for the same reasons. Miss Spider Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) depends on the time frame. I think it's technically 'a relationship' when you're dating, but I know people usually mean commitment -with the bf gf title, exclusivity, etc. That being said, I also think people, particularly men, know pretty early if it's a person they see being in a relationship with and the more secure they are in that knowledge, the stronger they feel about the person, the earlier they will commit. So the longer things stay in the grey area and one party doesn't want to commit or is still on the fence, the less likely it's gonna work out. Of course there are always exceptions.
