phineas Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I'd rather just ask for a full body shot pic, takes less time/effort and they can always work the angles over video chat too, so that's not always reliable. It's far more awkward telling them to stand up and back away from their video camera than asking for a full body pic lol. what takes less time and effort? Requesting to skype or driving to someones house only to find out you were cat-fished?
HereNorThere Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 You really shouldn't try to shoot for people "out of your league." It destroys the online dating environment as a whole. That's why you see women getting so many messages and still have a hard time finding a date. Do yourself a favor and stay realistic with what you're looking for. Besides, you really don't want to land someone that has more options than you. No matter how secure you are, you will always instinctively know there's an imbalance in the relationship. If you find that majority of women you fancy are out of league, it's time to up your game and get yourself into that league.
phineas Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Well OLD is a conducive environment for those seeking to hide things or deceive. It's a shame because there are honest people on there. As a woman you'll get married men, men who have baseball caps on in every picture, dim lighting, and pics of motorcycles/cars instead of themselves. I have the meteor strike on the back of my head and no widows peak. Just hair on the front half of my head so unless i take an overhead from behind shot you can't tell i'm half bald. I always worried about that. Not the bald part but the "I wonder if they think i have a full head or hair" part. I always use up to date full body pics. Not trying to hide anything and used to always get a shocked "You look just like your pics!" LOL! The only thing i'm hiding is i'm a lousy house keeper and a bit of a slob.

Like I said , asking them for a full body pic. If you ask them to Skype they can still set their camera up with an angle that benefits them. Plus it takes longer, whereas I can just send them a message for a pic that takes 5 seconds.

The point made earlier though is that a full body pic can be edited, so it's no more reliable than any other pic. Yes, they can set up a video camera to get a better angle, but that only really works if they don't move during the entire video call.
Popsicle Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I'd rather meet than Skype. If they don't want to meet then to hell with them.

Yes they do think yiu have a full head of hair. Include a pic of your head art(?). Have someone take it.

Yes, they can set up a video camera to get a better angle, but that only really works if they don't move during the entire video call. Easy if they're laying down on their bed or something. Most people won't bother editing a full body pic, and unless they're REALLY good, you can tell if it's tampered. I'll take the chance of a full body shot, hasn't done me wrong yet, unless the photo was taken 5 years earlier.
