Grey40 Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Ok so yesterday we confirmed a second date to have lunch tomorrow. So Wednesday afternoon I chose a time and place and she said, "that sounds great! That should work, I can look up directions myself don't worry about it!" I said "awesome see you then". We did not talk to each other at all today and the date is tomorrow. Should I reach out and kind of confirm again or just not bother and assume it's on?
PogoStick Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 message the night before, or morning of, to quickly ask that your plans are still on.
letsgetcoffee Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I don't think there's any real downside to checking in beforehand. If you're worried you'll appear needy etc (maybe there's more context here?), you can frame it as a logistical question like "Hey I realized this places parking lot is HUGE, where should we meet? Hope you're day is going well", etc. The only downside to not making a pre-date text is that the chances of them flaking might be higher, you can probably estimate that better than anybody on here can. Basically, do what you think is right and nice, sometimes things don't work out as we expect, that's A-OK! Dating is as much about preparing yourself for negative emotional experiences/rejection/flakes/tough relationship problems as it is putting yourself out there and taking risks.
KBob Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I agree, sending a pre-date text that morning is a good move. If you don't some women will take the opportunity to use the lack of a follow up text as an excuse to flake on plans. 1
