has any of u guys had a gf or even a dated a gal who wanted you to buy her clothes, and if u didn't have any money to buy it for her what did u do. i mean do u buy it for her. i am a student and i was to work and if i did i barely have enough .

all i am sayin is i now this gal who wears clothes like TNA, Puma, Roxy and other name brand stuff which are quite pricey and i am guessing if i date her i might have to fork out some money to be with her- well you now making her like me and be with me or else she might leave me for another guy. she also dyes her hair and it looks like she gets it professionally done. she more like the trendy type i guess-trend settters-something like that

myself i don;t wear anything name brandish jsut from old navy and gap mostly old navy i not rich.

Joel, I don't really get what you're saying. Did this girl already ask you to buy her clothes? Or are you just assuming that she's going to want you to buy them?

Either way, you shouldn't buy her clothes for her. If she wants to be trendy and have expensive clothes, she should be able to buy them for herself. If you want to be her boyfriend, don't make yourself her personal piggy bank. You're never going to have a girl's respect or love if you try to buy it.

You probably have low self esteem to actually be asking this question. Most men realize that if they have to buy a girl's wardrobe to keep her from leaving them for another guy, that she's a gold-digger. I think you need to take a look at yourself and realize that you have more to offer a woman than your paycheck.

Buddy, I have rarely seen anybody who lives in such a hypothetical world as you do. You're worrying if she will demand too much from you once you date her? Um, maybe I'm wrong, you first would have to ask her, then she would have to accept your invitation for a date. After a successful date you will be hoping that it will be followed by more successful dates. You haven't achieved any of this, but here you sit and wonder if you're a tease, a flirt or a player. And instead of asking a nice girl out, you're aiming for a high-maintance doll?!

Ok, tell you what, I am pretty sure she will expects you to pay for her and you know why? I deduce this from the description you gave us from this girl, but also because you look like the kind of dude who runs after the unattainable girls who suck the lifeblood out of them.

Try to work on your self-esteem and build up some self-confidence. Learn to see beyond the facade of people and don't aim for the wrong ones. And for heaven's sake, take the advice that people on this board give you. What are you asking for if you never seem to accept the answers or suggestions that you get?

i agree with all the posters. i would NEVER wanna date a gold-digger. why would you wanna date someone who's only with you for your money? don't you want a girl who wants you for who are you and not how fat your wallet is?

i like to wear brand name clothes a lot of the times but i don't expect my bf to pay for it. i pay for them myself and in fact, i buy him most of his nice clothings. maybe you should ask her in a teasing way who pays for her clothes.

i'm just assuming - i have not known a gal that is like that, assuming from the looks and style of the girls of how some are willing to spend crazy amts on clothes and this and that.

joel: How old are the 2 of you?

and...

If you 2 are not married, or something along those lines, then you shouldnt be worrying about buying her clothes, or anything of that sort for that matter.

The occasional present here and there is perfectly fine, but doing her regular clothing shopping for her isnt something you should even be considering on doing.

I wear nice clothes. One reason, I have really long legs and it seems like the only brands that fit me well are pricey ones.

Also my favorite store for summer tops is Bebe. They aren’t overly expensive, but I guess yes it does cost more then a t-shirt at Old Navy. I spend the few extra bucks on myself because I just love the look and wear.

I would NEVER ask a guy to buy me clothes. I don’t even think I would let if him if he wanted to. I would rather a guy spend money on something we can BOTH enjoy.. Like a day at six flags or something. Even then, I wouldn’t let him pay for everything. Just not my style I guess.

So yes I wear nice clothes, but I cringe when I hear somebody say that it means I’m a gold digger. You couldn’t be more wrong.

Joel,

You first have to get a date before you even need to worry about a gold-digger.

You need to concentrate on getting the gal to go out with you not what she wears or of she is high maintenance.

Your letting your life pass with questions that you can't answer until you get into a relationship. Start dating someone, concentrate on a gal that you think will go out with you, and then you can concern yourself with questions of character.

First things first...
