Dating for 5 months without a label?

I have been seeing this man for 5 months, both 24, working full time and currently living at home. Things have progressed beautifully in the last 5 months. The only problem is when I bring up being 'official' he says he isn't ready. Something about he doesn't want to be in boyfriend/girlfriend and find out months down the road that we want different thing. We hang out 2-5 times a week either going out or staying in, sleep together, hang out with his family, his friends know about me, text everyday and we are super couply all the time without hiding it. We have been exclusive since 1 month of seeing each other but sometimes I get anxious as to why he won't call me his girlfriend, to me it doesn't completely make sense but I don't want to ruin this either. I'm trying to make sense as to why a guy would act like this.

If you're boyfriend/girlfriend and later find incompatibility, you just break up. It's not like you're asking for long term commitment from him. (unless you are???)

At this point you should be able to call each other boyfriend or girlfriend. If that is not the case, then I think you need to move along. That is a long time to date someone and not be in a committed relationship.

People who don't want to 'put a label' on the relationship are so full of schmatas! After 5-months??! Come on! Don't want to put a label on our relationship is equal to... I want to be able to look around, continue checking out other merchandise while I string you along....ugh.

Being called a girlfriend isn't a marriage it's just being a girlfriend and it can be undone as easily as it's been done. I would not have let it go on for 5 months. When a man doesn't want to call you his gf after maximum 2 months you drop him.
