Weezy1973 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 And how do you feel about him OP? How he feels about you is actually irrelevant...
strawberryshortstack Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 He now regularly drops "see you soon my love" and "my love" in general. I am not going to overthink it. Things are good. I actually suspected that the "I love you" was coming when, at the end of our date on my birthday, my bf called me "love" for the first time - prior to that night, he'd called me "hon" or "honey". Since he said "ILY" for the first time, it's mostly "love" or "my love", and only "hon" very occasionally. Sometimes I wonder if he remembers my name... ;-)
fred123 Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 i said it to my ex after 5 months. she said she fallen for me too. two weeks later she broke up with me as she was still crying about her ex so didnt mean anything
kendahke Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 Bf texted me this last week..along the lines of "I'm so in love with you". I sort of responded "same". Then the next day we had a weird conversation where he said he had a few drinks when he texted and it's probably too early for real love but it's a nice feeling, whatever it is. I agreed and said we are still getting to know each other. I was a bit puzzled like he took it back. Fast forward to last night where he texted something then P.S still in love with you. I asked him if he was drunk or high and he said he was completely sober. So what the hell...is he in love or not? I mean it's still early and it's cool whatever it is. Today he sounds a little distant. No lovey emojis or anything. Don't overthink it. He was thinking out loud and you hear him. You are entering into the phase of relationships where they either succeed or fail. Your representatives did a great job on building the fire and he seems keen to keep it tended. Question is: are you? Feelings are--if he's feeling love for you and it's 3 months in, then I'd say that was a good turn when you consider the alternative. He could be saying "it's not you, it's me..." and ghosting at this point.
OnlyHonesty Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 I don't think 3 months is too soon at all. I think I recall reading somewhere that 3 months was about the average time. Can you love someone without truly knowing them? What exactly can you really know of a person in just 3 months? This sounds like a fantasy or part of the honeymoon stage to me.
