Author winny Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 Update: We have been texting intermittently.... but I have been feeling scared to escalate anything due to recent dating failures...so it has been just light banter... so yesterday - I texted him a picture of my new cubicle during lunch He: Oooohhh, you should get some desk decor. Me: I am the only decor it needs Around 10 pm he texted: He: Oh come on people might think you have no personality. Me: Who cares what people think.... He: What did you do this evening? Me: Oh I bought new sheets with elephant motifs !!! and I a bought new sketchbook, so excited to start sketching!!! He: Those sound cute. Who/what do you want to sketch? Me: Your eyes He: I don't know how long I can keep from blinking. (I am not sure what he meant by that... any idea? Does this mean he is okay for me to sketch his eyes?) ....... ....... He did keep the conversation going after my declaration that I want to draw his eyes... his last text to me was around 3 am...so I guess it didn't make him awkward... what do you guys think. 3

I think he was trying to be flirty about not blinking *ill try to be as still as possible* since you know in his perception he imagined an in person sketch vs a photo he knows you have. 2

preraph Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 Since you're a friend, if he's not interested, it will become awkward if you show it to him (but afterwards -- at the time he'll say how great it is and everything). Has he had ample opportunity to ask you out or not? Is he a real friend? Like do you exchange cards or gifts on each other's birthday? If so, wait until his birthday and give it to him. 1

I don't know ANY guy that would be carrying on a long text msgng conversation with a girl until 3AM in the morning unless he's at least SOMEWHAT interested in her. SO.....Any updates?? I say so the sketch (or at least the preliminaries) in person. A la Jack/Rose Titanic-style lol (with clothes ON of course lol!!)...that way, you two can have some time together for some playful/flirty banter in a private space (maybe your house or smthg). Then, let him know that drawing him with him trying to be still is pretty tough, and that you will just draw him from a picture. You mention that you think you might have a picture you could use. Then, wait a couple of weeks....and voila! Present your already-drawn picture to him lol. This way, you get some one-on-one time with him to further gauge his interest levels, and you get to show your creative, fun, playful side. Not to mention...if he does like you, it is incredibly sexy to be drawn by someone you like. Can you imagine the eye contact? Omg.... 1
