This might get long guys so i want to give a advanced warning regarding that :p

Im not really so great at explaining things without going into so much detail that it turns into a essay but i will do my best to explain this one short and simple lol.

About 2 years a go i started going to a new supermarket (kind of small one) and i ended up getting into a extremely long, in depth conversation with a girl who worked there. After that i started coming in 3-4 times a week and we would talk each time for 20 to 30 minutes each time (while she tried to stack shelves and talk to me at the same time) lol.

This gone on for about a year and in this time a couple times i got the feeling she was flirting with me. She would always make strong eye contact, get very excited when i walked in to talk to me and she once stroked my arm when she was saying bye in what i perceived as a flirtatious way. She once asked why i came in so often and asked if there was any other reason i came into the store and i just said ah you know how it is daily shopping.

Then i got together with a different girl who i was with for around 6 months, i stopped going into this food store during the majority of this time but the girl in the store knew i just got into a relationship with another girl due to my family also shopping at the same store so word kind of got round.

I split up with that girl a good while a go and now go back into the same shopping place that i met the original girl in because i moved back to the area and yes we have picked up with our same long chats couple times a week when i do my shopping.

She added me on Instagram about 6 months ago. And we used to chat and **** like that. Then one night i got a bit drunk and asked her out in probably the most indirect way possible i said something like - Hey would you like me to take you out somewhere tomorrow night, movies or we could go for a meal or something - She replied by saying no sorry its my day off tomorrow and i always spend time with my nan.

I taken this as a rejection and never tried since lol.

Gone in today to do some shopping and she came over excitingly and said oh its you! i haven't seen you in ages where you been, what you been up to. We chatted for a bit and she said "you look really smart" i replied with oh, really thanks ect. Then i said make sure you have a good Christmas if i don't see you before and she replied i better see you before Christmas! im sure i will.

Now im not so sure if i should have taken her instagram comment as rejection lol. But then i think if she was actually interested she would have suggested another date or something. Then i think she might not even have worked out that this was me asking her out on a date she might have thought i was hinting at hanging out, but i don't know right now lol.

What you think guys? Friendzoned? Possibilities? or just a real strange unclear situation lol.

At first I thought that was a rejection, because she didn't offer you an alternative like you said, but after her last comment about seeing you again I'm also not so sure.

Ask her out again, but really have a plan ready this time. Maybe she'll give you another excuse or say no, but you have nothing to lose. At least you tried and you can stop wondering "what if.."

You asked her out, she rejected you on her off day with the weakest excuse ever used.

Just because a girl talks to you and smiles at you does not mean she pines for you but is so shy and intimidated by you she is too nervous to say yes to going out or suggesting another tine, or indicating an interest in a date.

When she is bored at work she probably looks forward to your visits to break up her work day. I expect you are like her work husband in a way. At best you are the guy that stimulates her with conversation while someone else is stimulating her in other ways. Sounds like you are living on Buddy Ave, in downtown Friendville, in the Pal district.

Just politely ask her out e.g

My number is ********** so if you wanna meet up this week text me...

If she says

Yeah Sure I will let you know might be able to make Thursday (She interested)

Yeah Sure I will let u know (She letting you down politely)

Yeah Sure How about Thursday at 7 (She defiantly interested)

you will then know where you stand

It sounds like she's not attracted to you, but she may have just rejected you because you chose a weak ass way to ask her out. When you see a girl in person all the time and you ask her out on Instragram, it makes you look like a wuss.

If you want to give it one more shot, do it in person and don't half ass it. Personally, I'd just tell her to come somewhere with me after she gets off work, whether that's bar for some drinks or anything else in the area you can think of.

You were lucky enough to pick a date that she didn't have work. Was she planning to spend all 24 hours with her grandmother? Eat all three meals with her grandmother?

She likes chatting with you, but isn't interested in dating you. You can want to be friends with someone, hang out with the person, but not date him. That's where you are.

If you choose to ask her out again, make it clear that you're looking to be more than friends...that you want to date. Otherwise, you're likely to spend months planning and going out on what you think are dates and she thinks are two friends hanging out, since she already declined your date invite and you seemed to get the message..

you asked.

She said no and did not offer an alternative.

She isn't interested.

just move on.
