whatwhit Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 Hello All, I met a handsome guy online - downfall is that he is currently deployed overseas in Afghanistan right now. He won't be home until Feb. any ideas on how I can keep the spark alive? We are planning on video chatting the first time on Friday. Nervous and excited. But yeah have a fear it will fizzle before it even starts. Also I'm 4 years older than him. Is that a huge gap? I guess I feel a little insecure about it. I hope I don't have that constant fear of "why wouldn't he want a ginger girl" in the back of mind. If it even does work out. Super early to be thinking any of that!
Author whatwhit Posted December 13, 2016 Author Posted December 13, 2016 Young girl not ginger girl! Nothing wrong with you gingers!!!! 1
scooby-philly Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Did you mean you're four years younger than him....or did you mean to type "older girl" and not "younger" or "ginger"? If you're both over....25 or 27....4 years isn't a big deal one way or the other. In terms of meeting - you actually haven't met him.....so temper your expectations. I'm a big supporter of military, but I always feel bad for both sides because of the time spent away....but you just met him online - so i wouldn't worry too much or you'll likely go into the situation with blinders on.
