So I met a girl on Tinder and we talked for a little while before I asked her to meet up. We met up Saturday, and had set the time for 4pm. She showed up late, maybe around 430 or so. Anyway, when she arrived, she and I got hot chocolate and tea at a cafe and just talked for about two hours about a lot of different things.

After two hours, we went walking around the city (she lives in a big city, I live in a town), and we just talked for another hour. She eventually asked me if I wanted to go with her to a friend's birthday dinner at some place downtown. We got there pretty early, as no friends had arrived yet. We just talked some more at this point about her past, what she used to do, and her family. She asked me questions about me as well, so it wasn't just her answering my questions.

When the friends arrived, we continued to talk with only brief interruptions from her friend. We had dinner and some really nice conversation. After dinner was finished, she asked me if I wanted to go to a Latin dance club, and I agreed, even though it has been years since I tried to dance Salsa.

We got to the club and danced for almost three hours until the club closed at 2AM. At that point, I needed to go home and so did she. I dropped her friends off and she went to the birthday girl's apartment. Since then, we've been texting as she lives in Canada and I live in the U.S..

I'm trying to pace myself and not be too over eager or seem desperate to see her again, but I have never had such a good connection to someone on a first date before. I texted with her yesterday and the last text I sent went without a reply. So I texted her around 9am letting her know I would like to go to dinner Tuesday and asked if she wants to go and that I get off work at 4pm. So, now I'm just waiting on a reply 45 minutes later...however, I know I should not sit and stare at my phone, but all I want to do is get a reply saying "Yes".

I'm hoping to hear back from her and that maybe she's sleeping in, or doing her morning nanny work for the family she works for. I feel like I just need to go do something besides sit here waiting. If she didn't like me, I assume she wouldn't offer to teach me how to dance better, nor would she be interested in meeting in the future like other texts suggest she would. I'm just hoping not to mess this up I guess.

Patience is your friend. You put the ball in her court. If she's interested, she'll reach back. If not, then nothing on your end will change things anyways.

Be patient and go do something to make yourself happy.

I guess trying to fall back asleep (I was up late cleaning my house as roommates are moving out) is all it took. She replied she'd like to! I kinda regret not kissing at the end of the night, but she told me about another guy who tried and she felt it was too forward. I took that as a sign that even if the date goes well, to go slow.

She also told me about her other dating history, and that she's not interested in someone from different cultures, as she went out briefly with a Lebanese guy and it turned her off of that culture. Same with East Indian as she gets harassed by them because she's not white and the Indians think she might be Indian or from that part of the world (she's from Mexico) and is a light tan with black hair and brown eyes. She could pass for Persian, too I guess.

Anyway, patience is a virtue, and I plan on exercising it! Now I just have to go to the mall and update my wardrobe because I noticed holes in my jeans because they're so old. And not the trendy holes you see all the time, holes in the seat!:lmao::lmao::p:eek:
