My boyfriend and i used to hang out all the time, we still do, later on during the day me and my friend hang out with him and his friend. All we ever do everyday is drink, which it's cool and all but sometimes i just want it to be me and him. Yeah we go out to eat and things like that every once in awhile. Sometimes i just feel like we are just two people who like to hang out.

I know he loves me and he shows it most of the time. But it seems when we are not together he gets so irritated with me. When we are together it seems that he is already f$#@%# up! I want to just spend one day with him, just me and him.

I guess my question is how to explain this to him, and how often should a couple spend just one night together, just the two of them? i would appreciate any comments or advice.

i think most women go through this. women generally want more alone time with their men and men see being with their woman in any setting as acceptable.

you sound pretty young from your post. how much time you spend together is up to the couple and its also about how long you've been together. Just be honest with him and tell him that while you appreciate the time that you spend together with other people, you would like more alone time with him and see what he says.

Well, I actually understand your situation.

My ex-boyfriend used to be so attentive and loving to me at first. But then once we got together with his cousin by marriage and her husband, he became aloof. I couldn't quite understand why, but every time we were around them I felt like crap. And then I found out that him and the girl used to be sweathearts when they were teens. I am not saying that's the case with your bf but I do relate to your feeling. I guess what you really need is not to be around him all the time, that's by the way isn't healthy either. You just need the reassurance that he loves you. Sometimes some men really don't know how to show that. Talk to him about it. If he makes an effort to please you, that says a lot. If he acts like an a$$ and gets upset with you like my ex did, he's not worth your time.

I'm an affectionate person and talk about my feelings, whereas he on the other hand only does when he gets mad at me. I want him to open up like i do him. Will he ever, or is there a way i can get him to without just saying it.
