nicArora Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Hello, I am a 39 year old male. I found this woman online and we went on a date. It went well, she is 37, pretty, funny, very fit, we have lots of common interests, and she has a good job as well. We had a good conversation and she had a lovely time with me. My only concern in seeing her again is that at this stage of life I want to have kids and a family and so does she. But I wonder if being 37 it is too late for her. So am thinking whether I should continue to date her or look for a younger person instead? Any advice? Nic

Meeting a person who would be at your side no matter what is much more important than having kids who would go their own way once they grow up. You also have the possibility to adopt, surrogacy and other stuff. Whats your priority - a great life partner or kids? Both can be mutually exclusive...
eightytwenty Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 My opinion is you're pretty up there in age also. Even though you're a male and don't have to go through pregnancy. Your age is still there, you'll be 60 at the time of graduation, if you got someone pregnant right now. What about your health in 10 years? Now, if she's willing to go through it then, why not, only thing is the issues with being that age and a greater risk of downs... I just hate to see men just go after women that are younger because it's easier for them to carry children, pick the person not what someone can give you.
bachdude Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 It's a totally valid concern. When a woman turns 40 it can be darn near impossible to conceive. If kids are important to you, and you think you have the looks, why not date women in their early 30s who want children?
