Nowty V Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I have been looking at religious artefacts on a well known on-line auction site. Can anyone tell me why some Crucifix have a Skull and Crossbones at the base of the cross? Thanks in Advance if any reply
TheFinalWord Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Perhaps Masons... My other thought is the crucifixion of Christ happened at Golgotha, which is Greek for "the place of the skull". Supposedly the rock formation had the appearance of a skull.
