Was at family reunion and my dad tells me go find rich chinese girl. He tells me how meighbour wifes side family bought house..the girl is lawyer and comes from rich family and guy only works part time as janitor. Hes poor and asian too

Hes telling me this story as im guessing he wants me also find a girl similar to neighbour.

He says it all about how you do it and care for girl and make her happy. Girls dont care about ur money. Im chinese btw

This is a.lot.easier said than done. Whats your thoughts on this. Most girls.i dated or had luck with as gfs.were around my class and status. Just.middle income type ppl

Be aware that all relationships contain a power dynamic. If one has all of the economic collateral, unless the other is bringing something to the relationship with equal or greater value - you will have less power in the relationship than your"rich wife".

^ That's right. There's bad power imbalances anytime someone marries someone just for money, male or female. It's even worse for men because they generally cannot stand that situation. You're nuts if you listen to your dad. You talk to your mom and I bet she has a talk with your dad, and it won't be pretty,.

My dear old dad once said it's as easy to fall in love with a rich man as it is with a poor man.

 

Turns out he was right.

Perhaps an intellectual and prestigious career that doesn't earn a ton of money but is still a source of pride and respect.

 

For instance I earn about double of what my husband makes.

 

But he has a good career, (he isn't a janitor), and earns the respect of his peers. He has a long list of athletic accomplishments. Hes extremely bright, caring, treats me well. He has a large number of skills, he can fix my car, and the wiring in our house.

 

He's good looking and a great lay

 

So he brings some collateral - that said, our wage disparities have been an issue from time to time. Many men have a bit of an issue with the wife being the bread winner, and at times the power has gone to my head as well
