Opium Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Yesterday I was with my bf after eating dinner and we decided to go to by some dessert(one s or 2 not sure) from publix. We were like kids in a candy store and believe it or not I had such a good time in their it was crazy. Anyways, when he goes to pay he asks for cash back to have some money on him. He owed me some money from before but we don't bother with paying each other, we just cancel each other out when I want something or vice versa. So, he gets back $10, 4 singles and a 5 dollar bill (he bought gum with the other $1). I take the 4 and give him the 5. I was thanx babe for the couple bucks, that way I'm not broke. All of a sudden her turns to me with a serious face and he's like "give me the 4 bucks" and I was like "what, you said I can have them", he's like "yeah I know but I want them back". Of course like any other woman I was like well it is his money but damn he's so greedy. I put a face give him the 4 bucks and I can't even believe I'm getting like this for 4 bucks but it's the whole concept not the actual money. Then all of a sudden he puts the 4 bucks in his wallet and hands me the 5 bucks. I felt so STUPID!!!! He wanted to give me the larger bill even it was a dollar more. I know this wasn't a big deal but I just had to point out how we as woman always jump to conclusion without giving the man the benefit of the doubt. Let him control things and things will turn out good. He shut me up quickly and I felt like a dumb azz!! So yeah that's my story, How many times have you felt like "damn he/she got me"?
greenhorn Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I can never understand this splitting money between bf/gf. When you already are bf & gf what is the big deal about who is paying and who is keeping the cash.

One pays for lunch, the other pays for dinner. Stuff like that, 50/50.

I didn't mean that, what I wish to say is that I will allow my gf to pay for the bills all the time May be this is the reason I don't have a GF Sorry for Hijacking the thread, but yeah women always jumps to conclusion even before seeing the whole picture ! but these are mostly one off incidents which no one remembers after a day.

I'm really lucky to have a man by my side like him. I just need to let him do things his way too.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!! Women always jump into conclusions. Me, you, all the women here on LS, my mom, etc. That's soooooooo wrong. Because we don't know the truth, we're just guessing and believe in our guesses as the only valid facts until he presents evidence that we were wrong. But before that we make a lot of noise that destroys our relationships. I'd say we better shut the f*ck up before we accuse them of something next time!
