This woman on FB posted that some dude was texting her at 2 am outside her house. Apparently, it was a guy she used to date, but she refused to answer him and he took off.

I said to her, "Wow, that's a crappy way to try to win a woman over" and she she said "Yeah well, he tried to win me over for 9 mos and blew it."

Apparently, they had been FWB's for a while, went on a trip to Europe together and basically did things that a romantic couple would do. She deemed it an "unofficial" relationship, which is just a new word for still...FWB if you ask me.

After all that was over, she tried to get him to commit, and he refused to do so.

Now why would anyone subject themselves to this? Why not find out it's "official" before going on European excursions and whatever romantic couples typically do?

I don't know why but women seem to think they can sex a guy into a relationship.

While it does in fact take sex to get a man to believe a woman is serious about him and he isn't wasting his time, it takes more than just sex to get a man to commit.

he also probably told her he didn't want a commitment.

There is a Friend component of FWB's.

You can actually be friends with someone, be romantic with them knowing it will eventually end or it isn't going anywhere due to compatibility issues.

It's called a fling.
