FaithInTheDark Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 my ex and i have been split up for 6 weeks. we went through all sorts of messy ups and downs. since then some of he statements have been " im confused about us, I love you even though we can see each other any more, im too miserable to see anyone, I will drag you down, i want to call you up but realize its best i dont" But things have been a lot more civil, and more positive communication. He called me out of the blue the other night and wanted to just talk. a couple days later he texted and said "love you"... I thought 'wow! it seems like we can check in with each other without any weirdness or head games' so, call him and he didnt pick up. a couple days later, I told him about a concert i am in this weekend and again, he totally ghosted out of the conversation, and acted like i dont exist. I even called him out and said " why am i not allowed to reach out when i miss you, i get totally shut out" three days later, He texts me " i hope your concert went well" I havent responded back. Why is it okay for him to reach out to talk but if do the same i get ignored? I cant handle this game where he calls, or texts but then pulls away. what should i do? why is he doing this , either dont contact me and let me move on , or be decent personal and treat me with respect

Kelley Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 If he really loved and respected you he would leave you alone to move on. He isn't so you have to take your own wellbeing into your own hands. Block him and move on, you will heal without the contact. You need to do this for you, he is just getting in touch for his own selfish reasons. The relationship is over time to let go and heal.
whatredflags Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 I am going through this as well, on/off for over 3 years,he texts me and I text straight back, but when I text first, nothing for hours or days, its an absolute mind ****, cause you constantly second guess yourself, swear next time he texts you wont reply for days and then as soon as he texts, I'm straight there replying. NC seems to be the only thing that works for me but then I get lonely or drunk and start unblocking him and hoping he will text or call, and he doesn't, its always him first.
Nadine123 Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Hi love, I went through a similar thing and it was the biggest mistake in my life. If you dont block and delete him everywhere, then you wont be able to move on.
