Israfil Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 * sigh * I travel 1.25 hours to work, and 1.5 hours from work (sometimes more depending on what time I leave). I drive a tank. I have to fill up with a gas every 2.5 days. But I get to listen to music, looks at spectacular scenery, live near my family, and go to a job where I feel creatively challenged.

Author tiki Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 I'd rather spend that time with my son and my Husband anyday.

JustJuliaYeah Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 How can anyone think that 15 mins is too long to travel to work?? If you wanted to spend that much more time with your son, get up 15 minutes earlier! I travel 1.5 hours each way to and from work every day. I am an attorney and work really long hours too, plus I go to the gym every morning. I get up at 4.30 to get to the gym by 6 and then work by 7. I finish work at around 9pm and get home at around 10.30 every night. I also have to travel by train, which makes everything just that much worse. I guess it's lucky I don't have a family or a partner. Or maybe that's WHY I don't have a family or a partner!??

Like I mentioned, it was moreso accomodating the hours of my son's school schedule and being close to him to pick him up.
Author tiki Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 I got a call for a job interview offering $4.00 per hour MORE than what I'm making currently. It's three times the drive though, 45 minutes. What do you guys think, worth it? I'm going to atleast interview, nonetheless.

Next, list down your requirments in the order of priority and see how many of them are met in each of the cases. This ways it will be easy to decide.
