Stephenie519 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 When you're in a relationship with somebody you always say honesty is the best policy right? You want the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But the truth isn't something that you want to hear it's not something that you're ready to deal with it's not something you can handle.. it makes you angry, vhurt, violent, and unable to maintain your composure. so in return your partner is intimidated by you and doesn't want to tell you the truth. Even though she knows you are thinking the worst... when it's not that way at all... but I feel like why am I going to explain my self when your not gonna believe me anyway, and twist what I say to use it against me forever. And lose it over something that i feel is not that serious... can anyone relate with me and any pointers with how to deal with men like this..?
BluesPower Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Can you be a little more clear, more descriptive of the situation? It is hard to give an opinion from a vague post like this.

Got it Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Honesty is the best answer only works when it is a healthy dynamic in the relationship that allows each party to communicate their feelings and thoughts, in a respectful manner, and the other party receives and process respectfully as well. Using it against the person, hitting them with it, manipulating, etc. are all poor coping mechanisms and not part of a healthy relationship/person. Is this a person you should be in a relationship with then? 5
