oman0115 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Ex girlfriend of mine broke up wth me last year, got into a new relationship which went sour and was abusive. I've always wanted her back and she's always broken NC to tell me how unhappy she was. The last time she messaged me was to say she was single, wanted to meet up and see how things would be now. She then flaked, but she flaked because she's on meds for depression and says she doesn't know what she wants right now and whether it's with me or not. She basically in a slump because she lost a child and is dealing with the mental abuse of the last relationship. I in a stern manner told her she has to leave me alone and I would support her fully wth her illness but not as a friend. I feel like I was being selfish and shouldn't have placed pressure on her but this girl has hurt me and messed me around a lot and I don't think I can be her support whilst she recovers. I know she's in a particular rough spot right now, is it acceptable to say hey I'm thinking of you or would that be seen as weak or an attempt of manipulation? I genuinely care so much but everyone says leave it well alone.

Author oman0115 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Leave her alone. This is probably the sensible thing to do. She's always wanted me for support but I can't do that right now because it would be false friendship as I always want more. So hard 1
