Logo Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 I have already ruled out bars and clubs. I don't think the odds of finding relationship material in a bar or club are high. 1
angel.eyes Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 What are your hobbies and interests? What do you currently do for fun? 1
Author Logo Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 I need to join some kind of hobby or sports group. That'll open some doors. Good ideas. What if their schedules don't line up with my busy work schedule? Any other options? 1
Satu Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Shared interests can be good. Not so much "meetup groups" or internet based things, but actual 'real world' clubs and societies. I met one of my lovers at an astronomical society meeting, and another at a violin group. One advantage of of meeting people this way, is that you have something to talk about right from the first moment. Take care. 1
angel.eyes Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Again, what do you like to do? What do you do for fun? 1
Toodaloo Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Yoga Dance classes Tennis lessons Art classes Swimming club Athletics club History Groups Volunteering Horse Riding lessons Talk to people. Even if you don't fancy them they could open up doors to meet others... Pick something you like to do and go and do it. It really is that simple... I have met loads of people through my dance classes. While I haven't dated anyone from them there are loads of people I would!!! After a while I also started going out with some of them to do other things, like meeting up for coffee and cinema visits etc... I did a "flash mob" a while ago and missed someone trying to chat me up after!!! Added bonus is that a man who can dance is OH SO SEXY too! Takes practice but even the worst left feet can get there if you just keep at it! 1
