So basically my ex and i were together for about 4 years and we had a bad break up. She then went straight into another relationship with a guy and they dated for about 1.5-2 years.

So obviously about 2 months after they broke up she has gotten in contact with me. Just with a basic hello and asking me how i am.

So obviously returned the text and one thing led to another and she texted me when we were both out one night and we ended up meeting up and going to her house which ended up in sex.

Anyway that was like maybe 3 weeks ago and we have been constantly hooking up/having sex 1-2 every week. However when i asked her what she wanted she basically said she just wants to keep it casual because she hasn't been single for a long time and wants to do her. Now i get all that and she said i'm allowed to see other people which i already am as i'm currently dating another girl who said the same thing. Now my dilemma is should i just keep dating both girls or leave the ex out of my life?

Obviously you're in a triumphant situation here. You have options open and they both happen to be willing with you.

I think it all depends on how you genuinely feel for your X. Take a minute and subtract your current dating partner out of the equation, what would make you want to take your X back? Are you just wanting closure in an intimate way or actually willing to give things a second shot? If it is the second option, you must be fully aware that seeing as the inevitable has already happened, that you may be greeted with exactly the same predicament 1.5 years ago.

If you do decide to try things with your X and pursue her, do tell the woman you're currently with immediately. You don't want to be stringing multiple people along now do you?

Let's see...

You have 2 girls that want a FWB relationship? Is there some type of problem that I am not seeing?

Do you want to get married? Can you not handle 2 women at a time?

Dude, why does this worry you? Enjoy life...

I don't see any problem either. Both girls are up for just casual sex. Enjoy it.

Don't get attached to the Ex, as that could and probably will end badly.

I also hope you're all using protection, as both girls could have other bed mates as well.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't have a problem with dating two women but I know someone out of us there will catch feelings. I know the other girl really likes me and isn't seeing anyone else but allows me to see other people. My ex could be using me for comfort etc I've asked her about it and she said I could get sex from anyone but I chose you because we always have a good time together, you make me happy, laugh etc and we both feel good around each other but then won't commit to being exclusive when I asked her if she could be in the future. I just think I'll enjoy it for now but sooner or later I'll probably have to chose one over the other.

why did her relationship fail with the new guy

I don't see a problem with it as long as you don't think that sex with you ex is going to lead to a reconciliation. As long as you don't want that as the endgame, I don't see the problem.

TBH i'm not sure why the last relationship failed with her other guy but i assume its something to do with her being demanding and that she thought he was intelligent enough.

When she first started texting me again i was just in shock because i definately moved on and let her go thinking that it was over for good then obviously she came back. I think at first when she did i was shocked and surprised and thought maybe we could reconcile but i dont think we could as i know she is just using me as a bridge whilst she finds someone else.

That's probably why. She just wants some male companionship while she is single. Are you okay with that? Can you do this without getting attached?

I'm still deciding to be honest. The other girl i've been seeing is fantastic as well and i think she is leaning towards more of being exclusive or wants to be whilst my ex is a toss up. I honestly believe my ex is still trying to figure out what she wants in regards to a relationship with me however she hasnt changed eg takes forever to message me back or doesnt message me back at all whilst the other girl is the complete opposite.

I think she is using you for companionship. FWB seems to end bad for one person. It's a risk you take.

Agreed! I think I'll see her again when I get back from holiday and then just end it and ignore her if I have to
