amu2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I don't think this is wrong of you. If she is the one that wants the divorce, then she should be the one to get the ball rolling. You need to let her make the first move, file the paperwork. When my ex-husband said he wanted a divorce, I tried everything to get him to change his mind, but the fact is he didn't want to change his mind. He was dead set on getting a divorce. Once I realized this, I didn't do any of the work. He filled the paperwork and paid all the fees. The only thing I did was consult with a lawyer to know my rights. I would suggest you do the same, and I know a lot of people on this site would agree with that. I didn't have any kids when I got my divorce, so that is a little different. You need to know your rights.
SoleMate Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Please google for "marriage builders". It is not wrong of you to fail to speed the divorce process when you do not want the divorce. Is there any chance to reconcile?
