Tatiana82 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 So a few weeks ago, I'm sitting in math class for summer quarter and I happen to glance to my right through the door that goes to the other room and I notice a phenominally gorgeous and very young guy teaching the other class. A couple more days of "observation" not to mention he also came into my work (restaurant, sadly not at my table though) and I've come to the conclusion that wow, that guy really is stunning. So this is the dilema of an extremely shy girl who's hopelessly clueless about guys and dating...How on earth does one stroll up to a complete stranger that she never even spoken to but wishes she could get to know? *sigh* a complicated question I think. I was just basically looking for some input, advice, or to know if anyone else has experianced a similar situation and what they did about it. Thanks everyone
crazy_grl Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 If you see him, walk up and say hi. Ask his name. Introduce yourself. Ask him if he's new to teaching there. Ask about what he did before that, where he went to college, etc. Talk to him like you would any other person. But it sounds like he's a teacher and you're a student. If so, it probably won't go anywhere. Most teachers are not willing to risk their jobs by dating students.

Most teachers are not willing to risk their jobs by dating students. It's not necessarily against the rules for a teacher to date a student as long as the student's not in the teacher's class. I know a professor who married a former student.

I know a professor who married a former student. i would check with the schools' policies on the matter.....poor gorgeous guy may lose his job, or reject because of the consequences.
