It sounds like an excuse to me because not many people want to believe they are bad. So when the bad is uncovered out come the excuses and justifications. Including :

• A mental health condition /personalitydisorder

• Abandonment issues

• CSA

• Sex addiction

Human nature is always looking for why a good person did bad, hence a defence lawyer strives to find mitigating circumstances, because simply accepting that someone is a bad person isn't enough. We always search for the why.

These impossible situations arise from poor boundaries quite frankly. Yes.... you might find another attractive and want more, but to act on those feelings and damn the consequences is where one becomes self centred and 'bad'.

When you have no respect for sanctity of marriage .... because to pursue a MM confirms that, then it's about looking withinyourself. Why does one woman see a MM as unavailable regardlessof her feelings and another woman decide to go for it because that's what she wants.

It could be a weakness in character

It could be inherent selfishness

It could be a blatant disregarded for other spouse

Not many people are bad in every area of their lives, but engaging in an A andat the same time trying to argue you're a good person smells of denial and hypocrisy.

I liken it to the ruthless businesses person who will step on heads, knock people out of the way and do whatever it takes to get what he/she wants.

I worked with a woman like that and she preyed upon a MM (more fool him) who left his wife. She didnt think she was a bad person. No she saw herself as determined and goal orientated.

We often teach our children that they can't have everything they want. What ever happened to practising what you preach?
