Okay...I have come to notice that the advice I get from all of you is always extremely helpful and for that I'd like to say than :D OKay now that thats done moving onto my question....

my parents have been together since they were 16 and 17 years old and now are in their 50's, so they have stayed married for some time now...I was wondering if any of ou guys out there know of any success stories of couples who have been together for a long time...for instance like from high school on...this isn't really going to help me in anyway, but long lasting couples is something that's always interested me :D well, and I guess it would give me some hope with my relationship!

My parents- on their first date, my dad gave my mom a coke "pop top" ring (remeber that coke cans USED to have pull off tabs- that woudl cut the hell outta you if you did it wrong? heh)... anyhow he gave her one.. on THEIR FIRST REAL DATE- and said "someday I'm going to marry you." They are still together after 32 yrs...

Mom still has pop top too. =)

Only draw back to the whole my parents/their parents doing so well... its a lot of to compare yourself and your own relationships too.

I mean I think I've twice now said I'm going to marry a girl ...who I've dated for a short time (NEVER to her- but I've said it to myself or to a friend) and it doesnt last long lol. Jinxed them perhaps.. in any cas eI dont do that anymore haha.
