Ok -if a relationship is a rebound....how long would it last? WOuld it be considered a rebound from another relationship if it lasted 3 yrs? Is there a "set time" to determine if a relationship is a rebound?

I know of a rebound relationship that lasted a long time (several years). It didn't work out though, obviously.

I had a rebound fling. But both of us knew it was just fun and nothing serious :)

Is it one you are in and is it your rebound relationship? one your ex is in? Mor einfo please :D

well, the guy i dated for 3 yrs was just out of a marriage for 6 months at the time i met him and sometimes i feel like all I did was get him over the wife. But I would not think he would hang around for 3 yrs later if all I was was a rebound...but I suppose anything is possible.

You are right, anything is possible. However you are the only one in the relartionship and the only one who knows him and how you feel. If you feel like you are still second then you need to look at what you have and where it is going. But don't just assume you are a rebound because of the time length. It does depend why they divorced and how seperated they were when they divorced. Some people end their relationship while they are still in it so by the time it is over, it is well and truely over

I am pretty sure he is over her and me for that fact. I just feel like I was used to get him to a point where he felt confident to move on. He does not know this really yet, but I am done with him. I felt 2nd but to his job...not the ex. It will kill his ego when he realizes it!

You have to make sure you are comfortable with the life that you are living. If he doesn't give you what you need then, well, you know what you need.

As for killing his ego? he is a big boy :)

Makes me feelso crappy that i gave him my all and he just is not the same person I met. I guess people put on good acts in the beginning and I held on hoping that man would return. I do want more from a relationship. I love him, but I finally see that a good relationship takes soooo much more than just love. thanks.

People change, some for the better and some for the worst.

Maybe you want a relationship from the man you met and not the man that he is now? Don't hold onto the past as if it may become your future :(

Good luck
