AT15 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This sounds a bit "new agey", but I think it may be a honest view. would it be better for them to go on pretending they haven't changed? I've come to understand that my ex BF couldn't love me the way I wanted or needed. And he left me, so I can meet someone who will love me in the way I enjoyed being loved. My ex husband, didn't do this at first. He held on and it made us both miserable. Thoughts??
basil67 Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 It sounds like a very romanticised view of a breakup. I'm more of the mind that people end relationships because their own needs aren't getting met. I think there are very few who do it for altruistic reasons. In the case of your ex, he probably realised that you weren't on the same page and moved to seek what he needed in a relationship. 4
