The body attracts. The mind maintains, increases, or decreases attraction.

On a first date, I'd already know what they look like. I barely know their mind.

I don't really think it's that straight forward.

 

I've met some great people I had wonderful conversations with.. zero desire to jump them.

 

I've dated girls who were stunners to look at, but incredibly self absorbed.

 

I think, beyond everything else, it's the "click" when you find the right combination of traits.

 

My girlfriend thinks I'm handsome, really handsome. Like the most handsome guy she's dated in a long time.

 

Objectively, I know she's just smitten. I know what handsome looks like. I'm simply average looking, but clearly in her eyes.. I'm something more.

 

That's what you really want to hold out for. Someone who thinks *you're* amazing, body and mind.

Both... I would not feel attracted just of a mind or a body ( I could feel attracted just to a body for a fling but not for something serious).

I could not be with a person if I am not sexually attracted to her so first impression will be always body, if that is ok then I will go and see if I also like the mind. That would define if I am in for a hookup or for a relationship... anyhow that was my modus operandi when I was free.

Sorry for ruining the equation. If the question is for women, there is another element = money.

 

So for women (not all of course) it's - look vs mind vs money. I've seen so many times how money easily defeats great look and great mind together.
