LNY Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Hi, My girlfriend broke up with me about 7-8 weeks ago now (after almost a year relationship), and have been NC for about 4 weeks now. Just a question as to when relationships rekindle after a breakup, what's the usual time stance? I know theres no set time, but like... when is it time to know that they're not coming back, no matter how much you want them to? How should I act if I see her out? Say in a club or something? Should I ignore her or just say hi if she comes up to me? What do I say ? Also, I have my birthday party coming up soon.. should I invite her or not? I have written out her invitation but havn't handed it to her yet. If I do, should I give it to her in person or just drop it off at her house when I know she wont be home? I suppose if I do invite her, I'll know where I stand if she comes or not. Thanks.
westernxer Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Sometimes you get back together, sometimes you don't. Don't think about it, 'cause it'll kill you. Don't approach her in the club... make her jealous by dancing with other chicks. When she sees this, she'll approach you. Say hello but don't be too accommodating. Don't invite her to your party. She dumped you, remember? Oh yeah, she'll come back when you're completely over her. It never fails.

If she comes up to you, say, "Hi" and be in a really good mood. Don't talk about anything too deep, and dance with every pretty girl you see. You should be doing that anyway, whether she is there or not, by the way. Fight the urge to look in her direction all the time. When you leave, don't say goodbye to her. Don't invite her to your birthday party. That would be so counter-productive it's unreal. Of course, if you enjoy torture then go right ahead. You already know where you stand: On the curb, by yourself. She broke up with you. If she wants you back, she'll know where to find you.
