Hyperfocal Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 So I am mid 30's, dating same. I dated one lady who was chatted for 6 weeks before meeting, last minute "I am sick" delayed another week. We met 4 times over many weeks, it was dull, we split. I observed that she was not active on OLD, and was stating, that she was an extrovert with crowd mentality, but less interest in dating than many. Fast forward to now, #2: This one presents the same dating pattern, and sick cancel case too! Been on 2 dates, she is fun. Each date she stays in the car 5 minutes before exiting to see me, awkward, idk? This one is also not on OLD but once a week, and takes days to respond. I was told that "People should live close to their work" for enviro reasons by her. Her/I = 35 min away, no big deal. I guess now the excuse is the carbon footprint as a slight barrier to a future. Question regarding #2 only. Are there any perceptions that I am missing here? Logical next step? Advice from others who've had similar? I am trying to calibrate my decision making for the best outcome for both.

You first need to establish what you want exactly, then you go for it and you go only for people that exhibit that same wish. If you want to date someone no more than here and there with no futher development than sure go ahead. If you are seeking someone to date on a regular basis with in mind a possible relationship than don't waste time with well..time wasters. Which number 2 is. Simple reminder. Interested people act interested. EVEN the most busy people will act interested when they are.

Both #1 and 2 in their profiles, past, and presentation, seem like they don't just want sex (didn't get any from me). And the long pen pal period before. I just don't understand why this prevalent behavior doesn't register with a benefit? Incidentally I do understand if someone is stalling cause they're deciding between a few, that's OK, this is different.
