He broke up with me--- feel like he's not telling the whole truth

The anger will fade with time. For the present, it is a good motivating factor to keep him out of your life. After a little while, as those angry feelings diminish, you will probably notice that so too has your interest in him.

 

I was betrayed too, by a long-term boyfriend. I didn't know the full extent of his inappropriate behaviour until after we had separated, but that feeling of, "Geez, who is this guy I thought I knew??" slowly faded.

 

A few years have passed since then and I've been at the point of indifference about him for a while now. I still think he did some craptastic things, but I've moved on and found something much better. He grew into someone I didn't recognize anymore and we're both better off!

I rather be mad than bawling my eyes out for sure, and yes the anger is making me not want to see his face ever again. I try to remind myself how much I dislike my past exes and how their lives do not affect me and that hopefully soon this guy will be nothing but just a stranger. I need to take it one day at a time, I do not want to be angry forever lol

With time passing and getting over it, the anger fades where you're simply indifferent when that ex pops in your head. The anger is good at this stage as it helps you recognize that you deserve better and have no aspirations to see him again.
