Her birthday is this week and we've been on 2 dates. Do I have to get her a gift?

Maybe something small like a birthday card? Are birthday cards lame? Should I even be getting her anything? I've never had a birthday so early on into dating someone. What do you guys think?

Do YOU hope for more? Do YOU like her and see yourself having a relationship? If so, of course!

 

Get her something small and card as suggested. It doesn't even have to be a physical gift, though a card would be nice. Take her to a special dinner or event that the two of you could enjoy.

No. I had been out twice with my boyfriend before my birthday last spring, and I didn't expect anything. He sent me a nice text on the day. If you did something she likes together, that would be very nice. If anything, flowers or something small would be very appreciated. But, don't stress about it. And, don't do anything too expensive.

Flowers and a nice card would be appreciated. Maybe give her a few of those fancy cupcakes. A drugstore gift, no.

If you do anything more you are getting into the territory if what you would give someone at x months of dating. When you hit months then I think you can get into things like dinner out.

 

At just a couple of dates, acknowledge the day in a small way with a card.

If you see her on the day, or day before or after, bring one single rose.

No.. you did it all wrong. You give her the card, and you send the chocolates to the members of LS who replied to your post.

handing her a "hard" on this date may not be appropriate at this point in the relationship :)

 

OP---If you give her a card make sure its light hearted and fun. To mushy or having sexual innuendos could cause issues.

 

For a date around her birthday maybe do something a little more on a date like a nicer restaurant or doing something that you know she really likes but hasnt talked about.....putting thought behind it.
