LoVeRgIrL0518 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 5 months now! We dated before for a while when he was a player! But now that hes go his life together he has changed a lot and thats what i saw when we started talking again! Thats why i decided to give him another chance! I really love him and care about him and he tells me the same! Sometimes i believe him and sometimes i dont! I dont really understand him! He is really jealous and possessive! But thats not what bothers me because i would do anything to be with him! He works out of town doing construction and hes only home with me on the weekends! He doesnt want me to go out at night while hes out of town! Which i dont have a problem with that because i really dont have anything to do while hes gone! When hes home on the weekends we spend every second with eachother! But while hes gone he doesnt want me talking to his mom or his sister! Its almost like he doesnt want me close with his family! There was a couple times that i had lied to him about going to see his mom and his sister because they wanted me to come over! He got really mad at me and broke up with me! We ended up discussing it and he just told me as long as i didnt call there or go there unless he was with me then things would be ok! Well i havent called there expect to find out where they were staying while they were out of town so i could have the number. He seems not to believe me about anything! When im not lying to him! He gets really mad over the littlest things and i just dont know what to do! I want things to be better between us! I dont want things to end! That is the last thing that i want! Does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do! I really need the help!!!!!

I'm sorry, but I can't find one healthy aspect of your relationship. To be honest, how women put up with this kind of thing, then go on to say that they adore these types of guys and would do anything to be with them ... well, it absolutely floors me! Ok, what was the reasons of breaking your relation with him in the first time?? (When he was a player). Please, let us know more details.
morrigan Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 You can't change this man. He doesn't feel like he's doing anything wrong. You're something he feels that he owns. Your boyfriend will become even more controlling and possessive as time goes on. He separates you from all your family and friends and makes you believe the only person you need is him. He is emotionally abusive towards you, and I wouldn't trust an individual like this to not become physically abusive as well. Get away from him ASAP. Just have one of your friends or family members help you get your stuff when he isn't going to be around. Move in with a friend or family member that you can trust. This is the kind of guy that won't accept rejection well, and will either threaten you when leave him or put on the sobbing "changed man---we can work through this together" act. Don't have any kind of contact with him.

Not only you guys but my best friend and my very own mother were telling me these same things and wanted me to leave him! But knowing me i am very stubborn and rarely listen to what others tell me especially if i dont want to believe it! You know how that goes Im sure! Well things started to shift drastically because i ended up wanting to end the relationship and went to go get my things from his house, but ended up leaving a few things there that werent of much importance because he held a 38 calibe fully loaded cocked and ready to fire straight at me! This happened outside thank god! If it werent for the state trooper that pulled up i would probably be lying in a ditch somewhere because he said he was going to shoot me in the stomach and slit my throat and make sure i had a painful death and bury me in a ditch! I did press charges but that only kept him in jail for one night and i was really scared for my life then because he said he would eventualy find me and make sure he finished his job! So i decided to move to florida which i feel a little more safe down here! I moved down here one reason being that i have many friends down here because i was born and raised here! thnks for all the info guys i am hoping things will get better for me!
