We live in a very conservative society, no kissing, no hand holdings until becoming official.

We met online through an app., both in our mid twenties. I took her out on 5 dates over the course of 1.5 month.

She showed interest by standing really close to me while we are walking, arms kept bumping into each other. She compliments me, buy me gifts, told me she dont want to talk to other guys online, moved her face really close to mine when we sit side by side, smell me, seems really energetic and enthusiastic when she see me.

She also initiate text sometimes. She told me on our fourth date that once her master degree starts (she is also working full time), she is gonna be very busy, especially with an upcoming project.

Now after the fifth date, she still is very interested during the date, but when I ask her for the sixth date, she told me she cant make it that week since she need to work hard on her group project. I ask her what about next week, she said she would let me know. She told me after that week that there was some problem on agreeing upon the project topic, so she only have one week left before presentation.

Do you guys think she is being upfront and interested or is she just making excuses?

In my experience "I'll let you know" communicates low interest. I'd tell her that you'd really love to see her, but if she isn't sure about that week then you should reschedule. Tell her to let you know when she has her schedule sorted out and she's definitely free to meet. Then just wait until she gets back to you.

Leaving an entire week open for someone you're dating is unhealthy. If she's busy then go do other things, focus on something else. If she gets back to you with a definite date then you'll know she's still interested. If she doesn't you'll know she's not.

Also, talking about your next date while you're already on a date communicates neediness and a need to lock things in so to speak. In future I'd just focus on making sure the date you're on is amazing. The day after or a couple of days after is when you make the next date.

You needed to make a move and might have missed your window. I don't care how conservative you are, you didn't show enough interest that you wanted to move it forward. And what is this can't hold hands? Really? You could have at least done that. A kiss on the cheek? I'm not sure how dating works when you're that conservative, how can you feel intmaticy or even closeness? To me it sounds like it would be hard to move past friends.

She's just busy. Just give her a couple of weeks and see if she contacts you or check in with her.

Actually, I didnt ask her out during the date, I ask her out days after the date, thanks for the opinion though!
