Yes, I'm getting outside and meeting people. lol. I was at this recent Lake party and got to talking to two lady friends that came together. They were new to the area, just moved here, and we had a nice time talking.

I think one took a liking to me, because when they were both leaving, the one gave me her business card.

She's a psychic. lol Yeah, I almost said, "There somethin' you wanna tell me before we move forward? lol"

But seriously, since it was a business card technically, do you think she was interested in getting to know me personally...or perhaps she was just handing them out to spread the word about her business since she's new to the area?

She's self employed. She needs business.

If you've got the cash to find out, go for it, but don't get your hopes up.

Right, I guess there's only one way to find out. Typically, business cards for self-employed people can serve a dual purpose...either to keep in touch personally or business.

So it could go either way.

There's only one way to find out. As you noted (and I agree), many people who are self-employed do give out their business cards to stay in touch--they oftentimes use the same number for both business and personal to cut costs.

When you do call and talk to her though, make it clear it is a date. Do not "set yourself up for an appointment" hoping to turn it date-like, that won't work. (There's no "hard-selling" needed by the way--if she liked you she will be already looking forward to spend time w you outside of work.) And if she suggests as a first meet you coming in for a reading, well then, you have your answer.

Honestly, if her business was dog-walker and she knows you don't have a dog...ya, probably something there beyond drumming up some $$.

Psychic? Be sure to make it clear that you are not contacting her about anything related to where you pay her $$$.

Sounds like she's just trying to drum up business. If she'd wanted something social, seems like she'd have said something like "Let's get together sometime."

Unless you talked about her job, my guess is she was just giving you a way to contact her for a date.

But if you talked about her job and showed a lot of interest in it then she gave you the card to get your dollars for her psychic services.

Basically if you call her, you gotta be specific that it's a date - unless you want psychic services only of course.

It never went beyond asking her what she did for a living, "I've been a psychic for 20 years." Nothing beyond that comment, otherwise we talked about other things.

If you like her enough your started a thread for her here, I would just give her a call and invite her to dinner/coffee/lunch/walk/etc for a specific day and see if she says yes or gives you the run around.

Sounds like you're in luck then and she was into you! :)

Would you be interested in dating a psychic?

Personally I wouldn't - I know my beliefs vs. someone who is a professional psychic are light years apart.

From your "lol" response, sounds like you don't take it seriously either. For me, that would be a "pass" - and you not into dating for the sake of dating right?

As for the business card... I don't know, I work in a real estate related field - so Realtors, brokers (people I actually have no intention of ever working with) give me their cards - it's what self employed/ commission based people often do.

You can certainly call and ask her out if you're interested, but being new to the area, at a lake party, handing out business cards isn't something I'd pin any hopes on.

She gave you her business card so get a reading from her and ask her if love is within reach. Then you will know.

I'm surprised that people here are encouraging this.

OP, psychic = scammer. This has been proven over and over again.

Use this as an ego booster. Then, go and meet some women that have a real job.
