Hey !

My question may feel stupid, but whatever ;)

After breakup up (mutual but still loving each other), we tried to stay friends for a month. Went to hell cause it was too tough for me. Tried to get her back and I did a lot of mistakes. I pushed her back. And she asked for space "for a while" (whatever that means !).

Anyways, the ending was a bit brutal, so i decided to send her an apology letter.

Very short letter. I told her the breakup was great, that it gave me time to think. I apologized for 2 things I did and told her it would be nice to catch up soon, when she is ready.

She answered 4 days after (wasn't even expecting an answer). I was actually planning of doing NC for at least 30 days and see then.

Her text message answer :

"Hi, i got your letter.

Thanks for writing that. I wanna say sorry too for (blablabla). I'm glad you are doing well"

Should I completly ignore that ? Or just say "thanks" to be polite? I don't even want to engage a conversation right now..

Ignore. She acknowledged your email, said her piece and it's done.

Why send the letter asking to catch up soon if you planned on going NC for 30 days and didn't expect a reply?

Don't send anymore letters or texts. Block her and move on. btw, NC isn't for the short term, it's for when you want to move on from a person. 30 days may not be enough time for you to get over it, especially with the thought of talking to her again as a 'prize' at the end of your 30 days.

NC can be a big help for those who want to heal and move on.

As a magic spell to bring an ex back, its usefulness is doubtful.

Get on with your life; make it a more enjoyable life to live, and be good to yourself.

Take care.
