jen_jen_heartbroken Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 A guy I've been dating for several weeks now will be celebrating his birthday in a week. He's already given me gifts, so I'd like to give him a birthday present, but I'm not sure what would be an appropriate gift. He has a gazillion CDs, so that's out. Any ideas?
Zaira Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 How old is he? What is he into? Maybe you could get him a gift voucher for an "adventure" - parachuting/ rafting or something similar, or prepare a romantic picnic/dinner.
miss-gonewest Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 So Jen, is this the mystery guy that went silent on you... the one we were all debating about? How's it going? Obviously pretty well - and I assume he eventually called? If selecting a present is hard, why don't you treat him to a nice night out, rather than buying a gift? Maybe dinner and cocktails in a nice restaurant? Or tickets to see a musical group he may like (if he has heaps of cd's)? There was a thread on here a week or so ago about good gift ideas for fellers.... some of the male LoveShackers posted some ideas... check that out? Good luck - let us know what you choose and how it goes...
Author jen_jen_heartbroken Posted July 7, 2005 Author Posted July 7, 2005 He kind of already has a bunch of "stuff" for the stuff he's really into -- history, technology, politics, music, etc. Actually, since he has dual citizenship in Ireland, and has only visited a few times but would like to go back again, I thought of buying him a plot of land from a gift website that sells actual small plots of land in Ireland....they send you the deed, pictures and everything for only $50.

Actually, this is another guy that I started seeing at the same time as "mystery guy" -- who has since totally disappeared, and I say "good riddance" to him. This guy is the opposite....very attentive, even though after our second date he didn't call for a week and half, and he later admitted that he was nervous that I wasn't "into him". I guess I was sitting by the phone waiting for him to call and he was doing the same thing. Ahhh, dating....isn't it fun? Well, he definitely knows I'm into him now!

Jen, could you PM me and share the website for this? My Grandma's from Ireland (born there/moved to Canada as a child, though)...and this would make her day to be given this. Thanks!
