Vado Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) Hi guys and girls. Do I have a date? I don't know. The situation: I met a girl during the holidays in march and after that we became facebookfriends. One day, the day I met her, there were also other guys and girls hanging around us, so I couldn't do a lot. I thought: better days in progress. But the next days I was having the flue, lying in bed, and I wasn't in a mood for seducing anyway so I forgot about it, went home. All that happend was that we liked each others pictures on facebook. But suddenly, after the summerholidays (in august) she contacted me: ''hey how are you, saw your pictures, '' and we had a facebookchat, the both of us talking about our new holidays (she also just came back). Than I told her that I have to be in her town next thursday for work (i didn't make that up; it;s a big town a lot of people visit workrelated). Afterwards we can meet and have a drink. She replied that we can eat something to. Which is ok for me. But now I have no idea. Does this sound like a date or is it more a friendvibe? Am I supposed to pay for diner? (not asking this for the money, I just don't want an awkward situation) By the way she wrote in the latest chat we had on facebook that she went with a good friend on holidays. Is that a good sign? Mentioning 'good' to make clear to me that guy is no lover and that she is available/still single. (sitenote: in our native language 'friend' and 'boyfriend' have the same translation, you get the meaning out of the context or with extra words like 'good' of 'best' if it's a friend or by using 'lover' or 'spouse' if it's boyfriend - but we do have male/female differences, a friend is always male. I mean: in our language you never use the same word for a friend(if male) and a friend(if female), like the English do). Edited September 19, 2016 by Vado
smackie9 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Just accept it as a date and pay. She might pay half. It might turn into something and it may not, that is why you go out and spend time together....to get to know one another and see if there is chemistry. Only time will tell if she is interested or not. It's a process. 2
Author Vado Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Thanks, mostly I know when I have a date or not, but this time it is a real question.
smackie9 Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Stop worrying about it and take it as it comes.
normal person Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 Don't stress it. It will become clear when you see her. If you like her, I'd say just pay for it (if that's something that's done in your culture), you don't have much to lose by doing it. Best of luck.
