Broken up but the boyfriend isn't sure and sending mixed signals

So me and my boyfriend have been together nine months, and we've gone through some deep ****. I've held a really bad knife wound he self inflicted closed shut, he's seen my depression swing and hit. Hes one of my best friends.

 

After helping me move about two weeks, it's like he pulled a 180. Came out of the blue with I don't love you that way anymore, saying he's been feeling drained of the relationship and he's tired. Right before he walked out the door he said he'd think about us. I haven't heard anything from him and he told a mutual friend he wasn't sure if we were officially done.

 

I'm at a loss what to do. I haven't initiated contact since I had a meltdown during the breakup but should I ask what the hell were doing?

Get your relationship with yourself right.

 

Best to let this one go, OP, and focus on loving yourself so that you can have a loving relationship with someone who also loves himself.
