Stercrazy Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Well finally dating a girl I like. We have gone out a couple of times which ended in kissing....so that's good. We planned another date and she wants to pay as I have paid for both dates previously. I feel wierd about it though. Thoughts??
Author Stercrazy Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Not really an issue per say. I don't mind independent women. I think it shows strong character. But I still feel wierd.....lol. For the record she already bought the tickets.
Sunkissedpatio Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Sorry let me rephrase that, why do you feel weird? Do you think you must be paying, do you thing you are losing control, do you think she will judge you? What is your thinking behind the weird feeling? 2
Author Stercrazy Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Not sure. I guess when it comes to dating I'm just a traditionalist. I like the fact she wants to pay. I asked her if she was independent and she liked I chose that word over stubborn....lol. Stubborn really wasn't the vibe though. I've been dating a lot the past few months (without any real connections mind you) and now we made a spontaneous date for tomorrow and I guess it just felt weird. She said I can get the popcorn though...lol. So I figured I would just ask opinions.
Sunkissedpatio Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) It's very personal Stercrazy. We like to reciprocate so that is why she insists but it may not mean she is wanting to do this all the time. Also, for the types of women who are conscious of not taking advantage it is important for them to show that they don't expect a free ride. Next time you can get it again if it makes you feel better. Go out and enjoy being treated for a change, it is a sign she really likes you. ;-) Which I am sure will just make you want to take over next time even more. If it makes you feel too icky just tell her exactly what you just shared here that you are traditional and you like to take care of things that way and see how she reacts. Author Stercrazy Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Not icky just weird. I'm not used to reciprocation to be honest. And I hope she really does like me. Like I said I like a confident and independent woman. I think I have just gotten used to dating insecure females and she's not that.....lol. I'm a pretty laid back guy so I will just enjoy it. I'm not controlling person by nature so I don't think it's that. I'm just not used to it. It's all good. I'm going to embrace this. Thanks!! 1
Sunkissedpatio Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Yay! I'm sure she likes you. It's a good sign. 3
BaileyB Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Let her. It is a good thing. It really bothers me when a guy won't let me pay for some things... Always appreciated when a guy pays, but over time I feel like I'm taking advantage. Relationships are give and take. Let her give this time... It's a very good thing - she is a good partner! 3
LostOnes05 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Make sure you get a large popcorn, extra butter and starbursts. 2
joseb Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I would think it more weird if she didn't offer to reciprocate after you already paid for two dates. To me it's a good thing, means she is interested.
smackie9 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Ya the snack food is usually more expensive than the tickets....... 1
LostOnes05 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I spent $40 dollars at the movies before...$15 3D tickets each and about $10 in snacks. My soul and my pockets hurt that night...movie was crap too haha. 1
utterer of lies Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Well finally dating a girl I like. We have gone out a couple of times which ended in kissing....so that's good. We planned another date and she wants to pay as I have paid for both dates previously. I feel wierd about it though. Thoughts?? Just pay for everythinh like in the good old times. I've had lots of women tell me they wanted to pay, and blah blah blah. In the end, they always appreciated my generosity.
Author Stercrazy Posted September 12, 2016 Author Posted September 12, 2016 The date went well. Afterwards we went for drinks and I explained my previous dates who were insecure and why I felt weird. She understood but was still ok with paying for the date. We ended the night with good conversation in her car and steamed up the windows. We're going out again tomorrow night. Not sure who's treating.....and I don't care......lol.

You may have found yourself a gem. 1
