xazecp Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could answer my question. It's probably a stupid question but I can't tell. I've built up my arm some, but starting to notice it's still the same in some places. My question is how can I build muscles in my upper arm, by the armpit (inside mostly) and below the shoulder. I don't have much equipment at all, so if theres any simple methods you can suggest I'd appreciate it.. Thanks
Zaira Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 I've told big tins of fruit (or baked beans or whatever ) work just as well as weights. Do bicep curls for one, and then turn them over (if that makes sense) and do the downward motion. Also you can take them up and out from your sides. Does that help?

To which muscles are you referring? Biceps, triceps or deltoids? This is it for the arm. You could check out an online anatomical diagram and get back to us. Either you're not exercising the one you mention. Or it's just an anatomical limitation - there's only so much you can shape arm muscles. Particularly the biceps - it just gets bigger, you can't do much to focus on building a specific bit.

VirginiaBob Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 the part in front of your armpit might be better served with dumbell butterfly curls. That's actually part of the chest.
