egalew Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Like to hear others opinions on this. When a 65-something man, with a large pool from which to choose women to date, goes after a newly widowed woman, do you feel that he's being opportunistic? I should add that the guy has financial problems. 1

Satu Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Thats a bit like asking if someone eats a carrot, are they a rabbit? There's no way of knowing his motivation. There's no way of knowing wether his financial situation plays any part in his motivation. 2
Timshel Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 It's not clear why you are asking. Newly widowed, nope. Go back to the large pool. 1
preraph Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 It won't matter if he's doing it for opportunistic reasons IF the widow in question has good boundaries and knows how to say "no" and not be taken advantage of. Most self-respecting 65 year old men would not ask a woman for a thing except some apple pie.
