gimlynick Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 Hey people, So, straight to the point. I was travelling for 14 days ( climbing ) and met an amazing girl who is 8 yr older then me ( I'm 24 she is 32 ), we have a nice connection and I've decided to go to her country ( we have very cheap flights go and back for 30 euro ) for a week to stay at her place. We both know that stuff will never work out because of the distance but what is your idea about it? If we really want we could see eachother every month 4-5 days but I'm scared for this stuff. I have read a lot about LDR stuff ( we are not in the love stage yet ) and I don't like it. I guess it's better to let it go after this week together right? I need to vent out a little bit because I'm scared to fall in love ( and I have a very strong feeling that the same is happening with her... ) Any positive stories about this kind of things?
xaviercross Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I would say just enjoy it for now. Get to know and enjoy each other and deal with the future when it comes. When you first meet someone, it's so exciting and nice. Don't fill it with too much worry. "I guess it's better to let it go after this week together right?" If you really connect, you'll already be in too deep after a week and probably have to work through the hurt. You never know how things are going to turn out, and being scared/saying no to protect yourself I would think is a quick way to always wondering "what if". I would say be open and be honest about how you feel and let life happen.
