saveoursouls Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) I'm totally broken, having a really difficult time with a break up. Have been together 3 years, lived together since we pretty much first met. This girl was everything to me through the years The only person I had in my life. I met her and gave up everything and everyone I knew. I had my baggage as she had hers as well. We went through so much together. Albeit how difficult she made things at times She caused me alot of pain and hurt, cheated, lied, betrayed me. And all in all, in the end, left me with nothing and no one to turn too. I'll never understand how someone can just disappear from your life without a second thought. I wish I could make sense of all of this. Please help me understand Edited May 17, 2020 by a LoveShack.org Moderator 1
Satu Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) Life isn't meant to be about just one person. We are genetically, and neurologically wired, to be social organisms. This is how we became the dominant species on the planet, without fangs, horns, or claws. We cooperate with each other. We form social bonds, because its good for us to do so, and because we need to. To make one person your whole focus, is extremely unhealthy. If you really did choose to have, "no other friends, no other people," you've made a very bad choice. I'm sorry, but I think thats more of a problem than your breakup, and might well be the real cause of your breakup. Take care. Edited September 5, 2016 by Satu 1
