Why do I hardly get any matches on Bumble with the same pictures I use on Tinder?

I have the same main picture on both accounts, one different picture, & a very similar profile bio on both but I get way more matches on Tinder than I do on Bumble. I don't have any sleazy pics on my profile either like shirtless photos or anything so it can't be anything to do with that. I've probably swiped right to like 500 women on Bumble & have only gotten less than maybe 10 matches so far. I just wonder what the reason could be. I admittedly didn't list what I do for work since I have a low paying job at the moment & would rather them ask me through conversation what I do. So I wonder if that could be the reason, but I'd hate to think women are that shallow that they wouldn't swipe right just due to that. Not sure what it could be. Any ideas on what the reason could be?

Similar experience here. I wish I knew the reason, but I don't. Out of all of the popular dating apps out there, I get the least amount of matches on Bumble, using the same pics. Not that I don't get any matches - just not nearly as many as Tinder, OKC, etc. Perhaps there just aren't as many people on Bumble? I will admit, I only heard about it a few months ago.

Yeah, I don't know. It's extremely weird. My friend said he gets tons of matches on there though & went on a date this past weekend. I just don't know why I'm not getting any matches on there though. I'm worried that women on there are more serious about relationships than on Tinder & they don't view me as good enough for a relationship since I notice the quality of women I come across on Bumble are a lot better than on Tinder overall.

I've noticed that as well. The quality of men is insanely better on Bumble. I actually wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of fake profiles or "bots" as they call them. A large percentage of them just seem too good to be true. Like there can't possibly be that many extremely good-looking, single doctors, surgeons, and lawyers in my city. I don't think it's real. Perhaps that's part of the problem.

 

I will say that I think Bumble does indeed have the reputation as being known as a more serious dating site. Especially compared to Tinder. Folks tend to be looking for actual dates and relationships on Bumble and not just hookups.

 

Do you have anything written in your bio/summary? Personally, I swipe left if the person didn't bother to write anything there, no matter how cute he is. It shows a lack of effort.

Yeah, I have almost the same exact thing written on Bumble that I do on Tinder. It's short, but it doesn't stop me from getting matches on Tinder at all. Maybe the expectations are a lot higher on Bumble, I don't know.

 

And yeah, it's possible that a lot of them are bots. I come across so many attractive women that have really great jobs, I'm just thinking like how are all these gorgeous women still single? I'm assuming some of them are fake profiles, but who really knows.

I don't know if it's my area but like 60% of the women on there I find to be above average in looks & I'm pretty picky when it comes to looks if I'm being honest. What do you think the reason could be though why I'm not getting many matches on Bumble though? There has to be something that's turning women off on Bumble for some reason where it's not turning them off on Tinder. The only thing I can think of is not listing what I do for work on my profile, since I've admitted I have a low paying job at the moment where I'd rather talk to them about it through texting conversation. I'm assuming maybe the women on Tinder don't care about what I do since a lot of women on there are looking for hookups mainly, while on Bumble they care a lot more about a guy's job? That's really the only thing I can think of.

I also tried Bumble for a little while but deleted it because I didn't have any luck on the app. Like you said, most women were really attractive, almost unrealistic for a dating app. I suspect there are a lot of fake profiles on it since I noticed most of them are American college girls... and I live in Europe. I doubt they were all tourists, there were way too many of them. And the times I would get a match, the girl didn't say anything. So it pretty much was a waste of time.

 

Another factor might be that Bumble doesn't have as many users as something like Tinder. And maybe the male - female ratio isn't in the favour of guys

Maybe so. But as I said my friend the other day said he gets quite a bit of matches & even went on a date with an attractive woman this past weekend. So I really don't know what the deal is with it. I just wish I got more matches on Bumble than Tinder since women seem to be looking for actual relationships with Bumble for the most part, while with Tinder it's about hook ups a lot of the time. If I had to choose, I'd easily rather have a relationship than just having casual sex.

Yep!

I have identical accounts on both sites:

Tinder has perhaps 50% to 2x the number of women, most are the same ones.

 

My matches and dates have been equal between both sites

 

On both sites, esp Tinder, I notice attractive ones who obviously are out of state.

 

Hypothesis: Tinder (or Bumble too) will identify and flag real profiles that are very luring. These will be distributed nationwide as if they were local, the crop ends up looking larger, smarter, fitter, better. Despite that, I get as many dates of quality from those two sites as from OKC, then Match.

So I deleted my Bumble account & started a new one yesterday & I must have swiped right to about 300 women so far & I've only matched with 3 women that I've matched with in the past but they never sent a message. So I'm technically at 0 matches right now in 24 hours. I just don't get what the deal is. I mean there's a lot of real profiles on there around my area & I don't think of myself as bad looking at all. So I honestly have no idea what the problem is. Even on Tinder the past 3 or 4 days I've only gotten maybe 1 match per day. I just don't get it.

I don't either. Like you, I would consider myself to be fairly attractive, just based on my real-life luck with attracting men and compliments I've received from people throughout my life. But not nearly as many matches on Bumble as on Tinder. I don't get it either.

 

BUT stick to it! I was getting a decent amount of matches on Bumble when I first joined and then it dried up quickly. Like, within a few days. During the dry phase, I ended up matching with one guy, and we dated for a couple of months. He was a good guy, I just have some personal work to do to be date-able again. :o Otherwise, I think it would've worked. We were both interested in a relationship.

 

Side note: as a female, it's refreshing to hear that you're a male looking for an actual relationship. I was beginning to lose all hope. :)

I found different sites have different user bases that are attracted to it. I found my types were mostly on OKC so I had better luck there than on other OLD sites.
