Should I be expecting a proposal from my boyfriend soon?

We were talking and we are both on the same page about dating for a year before a proposal. Our 1 year is in 3 months... He also said he would want to do a Christmas proposal. Based on what I've said,Is it a high chance that he will propose anytime soon? I don't want to assume, but I also want to have an idea of whats to come.

Yes he usually does, cant think of a time since we have been together that he hasn't.

Crazy idea, but why not ask him about it ??? Not sure why you'd want to leave the decision and timing completely up to him...

Nooooo... terrible idea! Then if he does do it, you'll always feel that you pressured him into it, like he didn't really want it for himself. And if he doesn't do it then he's also in trouble. He has no chance.

Because it's a proposal, not a wedding.

 

I never get why the big fuss about getting engaged. A proposal / engagement is a promise to marry. Why do you need to schedule a time that you will make a promise to do something? If you schedule a time to make a promise... well you just made a promise... and congrats you're engaged already

Seems like an artificial construct and holdover from a different time. Should be a discussion amongst equals regarding intent and timing rather than her holding her breath waiting for him to pop the question...
