CurvyGurl Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 There's a new trend these days, it seems, where women are proposing to men. What are your thoughts? I couldn't do it. I'm extremely old fashioned and traditional. There is just no way I could propose to my S.O.
Cwazydude Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Yeah, Guy's usually enjoy being the one to "Pop the question." I mean, if I ever decide to settle down, well then I would like to be the asker. But I'm not saying that should discourage girls. I mean, if A girl is ready to get married with a man they should know him well enough to know if he will be offended if she propose's to him.
moimeme Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 'Should'. Blech. There are no rules; there's what's suitable for each couple.
d'Arthez Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 Marriage customs have been evolving in the past 200 years. Finally, after women got a bit of economic liberation, we are starting to get in a situation in which it is mostly accepted that a woman can propose to a man. Next step will hopefully be the general acceptance of same-sex marriages.
