My family is trying to set me up with a girl

I am open to the idea and willing to go along with meeting new people this way

My family have met her and say she is a good person for a long term relationship

According to my family: I would consider her physically attractive, she is polite, accomplished in her career, family orientated and we share similar cultural values

about us: both early 30's, ready to settle down

problem 1: we Live in separate cities, opposite sides of the country in fact.

The last time this happened a question or comment i made ( which i thought was completely acceptable and totally platonic) over text was "considered offensive" by the girl and she said it wouldn't work out between us because of that.

This experieince soured my experieince with being set up because i felt the girl was totally unreasonable.

Dilemma: I want to be open to the idea of meeting and dating potential life partners that are arranged for me in this way, But I do not know how to filter myself so much as to not in anyway potentially offend someone

I try to be polite, non sexual, and humorous but

Because I do not want to be blamed for it being my fault that it didn't work out between me and this girl I really do not know how to talk to her

all suggestions are appreciated
